We blog about fashion. The to die for clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags and anything else that we wear to make us feel chic. We cannot write about fashion without of course paying homage to those before us.
I personally have to recognize W Magazine. As a young girl my mother ingrained into me that it was ‘the fashion Bible’. With the latest in everything fashion and eye catching spreads it seems it cannot be anything less. Even the advertisments are from only the best, Chanel, Prada, David Yurman and Miu Miu.
This month features Madonna looking sexy and confident in the stunning location of Rio.
I’ll say thanks to W Magazine helping me to become the fashionista I am today.

Top Shop, one of Brittan’s most successful retailers is making it’s grand opening in New York City this week. April 2nd doors open on the Broadway and Broome location.
Opening weekend at the store will feature beauty treatments, treats for shoppers and even a guest DJ, for some added background music while customers peruse the endless stylish racks.
Oh and also, the new Top Shop Kate Moss Spring 09 collection premieres, as if you needed another excuse?

What an aesthetically pleasing image, no?
These Christian Louboutin flower pumps feel like a necessity for imminent spring.Surely, they are wearable art at its finest.I truly wish that Christian could be a little more generous in his pricing. $1,695? Devestating. He must not have heard about the tumbling economy.

I am newly obsessed with TJ-Maxx, and far from embarrassed to admit it. Since they began incorporating designers such as Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, True Religion, Vince, Castle Starr, Tom Ford and Alice & Olivia, it is safe to say that I have fallen in love with this store. The clothing that I have found there is absolutely unbelievable. Stacey Bendet’s Alice & Olivia has become my favorite brand for dresses since last year. I love her ability to blend youth, class, originality, volume and color into all of her dresses along with her tops, pants and skirts. Last week at TJ’s, I purchased an originally priced at $ 400 Alice & Olivia cardigan for $150 and although that is still pricey, and it is summer, it’s completely justifiable. This cardigan will last me for years, and it is perfect to wear over a little summer dress in an air-conditioned restaurant, or a chilly night walk along the beach.

I love this James Perse dress. It just goes to show how beautiful monochromatic apparel can be. The cute simplicity of this dress makes it perfect to wear with anything. Throw on a light summer scarf, maybe pile on some gold bangles or a turquoise necklace. Dress it up, dress it down; either way it’s an essential piece to add to your closet. And the best part, it’s basic enough to mix into your fall wardrobe as well…

I am sure that other girls will agree with me, one of the best parts about spring are sundresses. As I count down the days until warmer weather, I’m constantly looking for a new perfect sundress. For a while long dresses scared me (I’m short!) but after getting one, I cannot get enough.
When I came across this Diane Von Furstenburg dress, I immediately added it to my list. I love the length and the free movement of the skirt, as well as the flattering A frame. The color carries me right from spring into summer. This dress would be perfect for a day of lunch and shopping or for my sister’s graduation in June.

Slick shades?
A creation of the washington d.c. clothing line DURKL.
DURKL, started by three twentysomething year olds, feature neon colors and geographic prints. You can see their designs all over the successful party blogs of DC. If you want to get your hands on their merch yourself you can go to their website and order online or peruse the list of retailers that carry DURKL clothing. Perfect for that next neon hipster party, offering an option aside from American Apparel.

Each and every Monday night, once the clock strikes ten, I rush to my television and quickly punch in channel 40, MTV. The Hills, I will admit is my guiltiest pleasure. Whether it is the High fashion of L.A, the glamorous nightlife, the ADORBLE AND HEART BREAKING clothes or the ability to be a voyeur of someone else’s drama, the show is nothing less than captivating.
As lovable as Lauren Conrad is as the main character on her own reality show, her new clothing line just does not measure up.
I browsed her limited collection on Shoplaurenconrad.com.
There is nothing creative, different or innovative about these clothes. They are overpriced and completely unoriginal. Basics are essential to any fabulous wardrobe, but when entering into the fashion world, one must enter with a BANG to make our jaws drop. The only jaw dropping going on here is for a yawn.
Decide for yourself:
