I realize that shoes are beginning to dominate this page, however the moment I saw these a large smile spread right across my face.
Fashion is surely wearable art, and these shoes just go to prove me right.
One of the many things about fashion that I adore is that season after season I am never let down. When some desighners failt to impress, other take my breath away with stunning pieces of art like these Mui Mui shoes.
They make feel nostolgic of the days that my friends and I sat in our pretty pink dresses as we sippedĀ air from our plastic tea cups.

My favorite part of spring?
Bright colors. And this season’s color is yellow. From J. Crew to Milly yellow is making an appearance in bright prints and solids. Yellow was a color I used to be afraid to wear. Fear no more. Even a little yellow will liven up any closet.
the Milly dress.

I stumbled upon this youtube video of Mickey Avalon’s cheeky song, So rich , So pretty. The photos in the video show some AMAZING outfits and are a collaboration of styles from thecobrasnake.com.

Pixie Geldof is quickly becoming one of my favorite fashionistas/socialite. Following in her big sister Peach’s footsteps Pixie is making a name for herself in fashion buzz. Most recently her style is applauded in Teen Vogue but her photos are making it into blogs all across the web. Pixie combines couture and trendy vintage pieces to make her own indie style. Her short platinum hair not only suits her name but harkens back to the style found in her hometown of London in the 60’s. I love how she wears a staple of opaque black tights and a crochet hat with sky high heels. I definitely take some fashion cues from her, even if she is only seventeen.
Here she is with other London socialite Alex Chung.

I remember I once had a one shoulder shirt, a tacky black thing that I wore to my sophomore homecoming and I thought I was oh-so-chic. Then the trend died. But this season it makes a comeback, looking better than ever. I first refused the idea of a one shoulder design to make its way back into my closet, until one recent shopping trip. I fell in love with the one shoulder dresses, mostly because they resembled nothing like the shirt I had long ago. I saw a beautiful satin dress, similar to this one by David Meister and immediatley tried to think of some reason to buy a cocktail dress.
So congrats spring designers, the one shoulder is back.

I am sure that other girls will agree with me, one of the best parts about spring are sundresses. As I count down the days until warmer weather, I’m constantly looking for a new perfect sundress. For a while long dresses scared me (I’m short!) but after getting one, I cannot get enough.
When I came across this Diane Von Furstenburg dress, I immediately added it to my list. I love the length and the free movement of the skirt, as well as the flattering A frame. The color carries me right from spring into summer. This dress would be perfect for a day of lunch and shopping or for my sister’s graduation in June.

A while ago we posted about Lauren Conrad’s mediocre clothing line, and now, our other favorite star of The Hill’s, Heidi Montag debuts her own. And I choose Lauren’s.
Heidi’s line, called “Heidiwood” is available in Anchor Blue starting April 15th. Personally, I found the line a let down. I’d expect Heidi, as a fashionista herself to design something better than a line that looks like it can be sold at Wet Seal. The main pieces are teeny shorts, zebra print top and some jersey dresses. Oh and the jewelery isn’t really anything great either. I expected more of you Heidi.
But you can make the decision for yourself, here.

Alexandra and I hit the streets of Boston in search of fashionistas and haute style. We saw plenty of well dressed women but this one, Megan, caught our eye at one of our favorites stores LF. We liked her tousled, casual hair and bangs, framed by aviators and big earrings. I immediately inquired about her jeans, the wash was perfect and they had a tight, yet comfortable looking fit. We were suprized to find that they were not jeans, but jean leggings.
Yup. You heard that right, our favorite look of skinny jeans made from comfortable cotton material, allow for the tight look and tons of comfort, without looking cheapy. Alexandra loved them so much she bought a pair herself and I am going to get some in the near future. The best part of these is the versatility, they look cute with boots, heels and flats. Megan paired it with the season’s favorite oversized sweater, lumberjack scarf and messenger bag for the casual and fashionable look. Boston girls take notice!
