Shop Vintage From Home.

February 28, 2008 · 3 Comments

I recently stumbled upon The URBAN Collection, a vintage store but online. Now, I can peruse vintage clothing, accessories and home wear without even getting out of bed. Everything is one of a kind, and the clothing description comes complete with measurements and perspectives, there’s no fudging here. There’s a dress, shirt, pencil skirt or perfect clutch for any occasion. Add it to the top of your bookmarks, http://theurbancollection.com/

Gucci Loves New York

February 21, 2008 · 2 Comments

gucciny1lhm.jpg The newest to-die-for bag. And I love it. The Italian designer pays homage to the big apple with their limited release “Gucci Loves New York” campaign. It doesn’t end with the bag either. A store, the biggest Gucci in the world, opened in Trump Tower, on New York City’s 5th Avenue dedicated Gucci’s love for New York. You can see the extra special page on the Gucci website here.

Nerd Chic

Since the hipster scene made its debut, the innovative designs of creative hipsters offer a beautiful combination of vintage finds and new ready to wear. Scarves, leggings, over sized shirts and side bangs all lent from hipster fashionistas.

But the latest trend? Lenseless glasses. Pop out the lenses of your Ray-Ban Wayfarers and you’ll be ready to hit the next party. I’m not sure how or why this trend caught on so quickly. I’ll support it because I am a regular glasses wearer and I am trying to stretch the versatility of wearing rims. The trend can be seen plastered all over the Cobra Snake, we’ll just have to wait and see if Cory Kennedy will too.

Graphic Neon Presented by DURKL

February 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Slick shades?

A creation of the washington d.c. clothing line DURKL.

DURKL, started by three twentysomething year olds, feature neon colors and geographic prints. You can see their designs all over the successful party blogs of DC. If you want to get your hands on their merch yourself you can go to their website and order online or peruse the list of retailers that carry DURKL clothing. Perfect for that next neon hipster party, offering an option aside from American Apparel.
